Real PDF output

Clean A4 PDFs generated locally with jsPDF — crisp text, your logo and your brand color.

Never lose a draft

Every keystroke is auto-saved in localStorage, so an accidental refresh won't wipe your invoice.

Invoices, quotes & receipts

Switch the document type to Quote, Estimate, Receipt or Pro Forma Invoice with one click.

20+ currencies

USD, EUR, GBP, BGN, CAD, AUD, INR, JPY and more — formatted correctly with the right decimals.

How invoice totals are calculated

Each line total = quantity × unit price. The subtotal is the sum of all lines. The discount % is applied to the subtotal first, then tax % is calculated on the discounted amount, and the shipping/handling fee is added last: Total = (Subtotal − Discount) + Tax + Shipping.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to create a professional invoice online?

Enter your business details and optional logo, add your client's details, set the invoice number, issue date and due date, then add each product or service as a line item with quantity and unit price. Apply tax, discount or shipping if needed, add notes and payment terms, check the live preview and click Download PDF. The whole process takes about two minutes and needs no account.

What details should be included on a standard business invoice?

A standard business invoice should include the word Invoice, a unique invoice number, the issue date and payment due date, your business name, address and contact details (plus a VAT or tax ID where required), the client's name and address, an itemised list of goods or services with quantities, unit prices and line totals, the subtotal, any discount, tax and shipping, the total amount due, and payment terms or bank details.

Are my invoice data and client details secure?

Yes. InvoiceGenerator runs 100% in your browser. Your business details, client details, logo and amounts are never uploaded to a server. The PDF is created locally with jsPDF and the auto-save draft is stored only in your own browser's localStorage, which you can wipe at any time with the Clear All button.

Is InvoiceGenerator really free? Do I need an account?

InvoiceGenerator is completely free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of invoices you create or download.

How are tax, discount and shipping calculated?

Each line total is quantity multiplied by unit price. The discount percentage is taken off the subtotal first, the tax percentage is then applied to the discounted subtotal, and the shipping or handling fee is added last. Total due = (subtotal - discount) + tax + shipping.

Can I add my company logo to the invoice?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WEBP, GIF or SVG logo. It is resized and embedded locally in your browser, shown in the live preview and included in the downloaded PDF.

Will my invoice be saved if I close or refresh the page?

Yes. Every change is auto-saved to your browser's localStorage, so an accidental refresh or closed tab will not lose your work. Use New Invoice to start the next invoice with your business details kept and the invoice number incremented.

Can I print the invoice or save it as a PDF?

Both. Click Download PDF for an A4 print-ready PDF file, or click Print Invoice to send the invoice straight to your printer or the system's Save as PDF option.

Which currencies and languages are supported?

You can choose from over 20 currencies including USD, EUR, GBP, BGN, CAD, AUD, INR and JPY, and switch the document type to Invoice, Quote, Estimate, Receipt or Pro Forma Invoice. Text in any language, including Cyrillic, Greek and Asian scripts, is supported in the preview and the PDF.
